Bitdeer leases 188,000-SF Sparks facility to expand U.S. Bitcoin miner manufacturing

SPARKS — Industrial real estate developer Dermody Properties announced on December 19 that it leased a 188,000-square-foot facility in Sparks, to Bitdeer Industrial Inc., which will use the space to expand U.S.-based production of Bitcoin mining hardware.

The space, located at Dermody’s LogistiCenter at Kiley Ranch, Building 2, will be built out to support manufacturing and assembly operations for Bitdeer’s SEALMINER Bitcoin mining rigs — hardware used to secure the Bitcoin network.

“We’re excited about sinking roots in Reno, Nevada with our flagship manufacturing and assembly facility in the United States,” said Bitdeer Industrial Inc. CEO Catherine Guo.

Additional leases include Belimo Aircontrols, a Switzerland-based HVAC controls manufacturer, which leased 84,760 SF at LogistiCenter at Kiley Ranch, Building 1.

West Coast Boat Center leased 117,500 SF at LogistiCenter at I‑80 West, Phase II, Building 2 in Verdi, Nevada.

Chose Reno for business-friendly environment

SEALMINER rigs are ASIC miners, specialized machines built for Bitcoin mining. Unlike general-purpose GPUs, they are designed specifically for Bitcoin and operate with higher efficiency.

The Sparks facility will manufacture Bitdeer’s SEALMINER rigs, part of the company’s U.S. expansion strategy.

Guo said the site reflects Bitdeer’s long-term commitment to advancing next-generation chip and crypto mining hardware.

“We chose Reno for its business-friendly environment, proximity to Silicon Valley, access to a strong and skilled labor pool, and robust inland port infrastructure, which enables the efficient receipt of components and distribution of finished products,” said Guo.

Companies are interested in Northern Nevada

Dermody says it maintains a significant industrial presence across Sparks, Reno, and Verdi, supported by strong customer demand and the region’s strategic location.

“We continue to see meaningful interest in northern Nevada from companies that value quality, reliability, and infill locations,” said Dermody Nevada region partner John Ramous.
